Birthday + shopping

Hey gals! So last week was my birthday and I've been pretty lax about my makeup since eyes have been hurting but I have been working on hair and outfits. We went out to Dave & Busters for my birthday (I didn't take many picture but I did manage to get my outfit)

Not super flamboyant but it matches my hair 😊

As my present, my boyfriend decided to take me shopping this week so I managed to grab a few things from H&M and Payless. I got some super cute mom jeans that I might DIY. I'm hoping I can co-ordinate it in a himekaji sort of style if not then it's still good pieces to have so my wardrobe won't be so dark. Luckily, my outfit today was a mix of the two xD

And this was me just playing in the dressing room making outfits!

Choices review: Censor shirt

Hey gals! I know I don't do many review but since I've had 3 days off due to snow, I thought I'd finally share this one. I ordered this crop top from Choices  a little while ago and it was on sale for $10!! NO WAY in Davey Jones' locker I could pass it up. 

When I got it, it was nicely packaged in a resealable back which is nice to keep if you have a lot of wigs to store. Shipping time was pretty standard- week/ week and a half. Even through the holiday season which is impressive. 

I really like the material used cause it ain't cheap. This feels like swim suit/ scuba material type stuff going on and it's REALLY soft. Plus the print on it is really cool. I might use it for more laid back OraOra looks and casual gear or b-gal. Overall, I really like this shop and recommend it ^.^

Sephora & E.L.F Haul

Hey gals! So I got paid the other week so I bought a bunch of new makeup from ELF. I ended up getting 20$ worth of products while they were doing a special so I got 20% off each product! They are still doing a special for those who missed the deal it's 50% off ELFs birthday favorites. Anyway I got 2 lipsticks, 2 powder foundations, 2 brushes, an eye palette, a brow mascara and a setting spray! Pretty good for 20 bucks don't you think?

E.L.F. Studio Pressed Powder

I really liked this! It works well and keeps my face matte. The first one is Coco and it's the darkest powder that they have. It matches my skin really well which is great because I was afraid it wouldn't. The lighter powder is Almond and it looks a lot like ben-nye banana powder on me xD It's basically my highlighting powder.

E.L.F Studio Makeup Mist & Set

This smells pretty good not gonna lie, it's fresh and has a little aloe in it. It's supposed to seal in your makeup and keep it from moving it around. Personally I have a bad habit of touching my face a lot especially if I'm bored. It helped my makeup stay on longer even with me rubbing my face all day long. It also makes my powder look more natural because if I put too much I look like someone slapped me with baby powder. I spray my face 2-3 times and fan it in a little and it's makes everything flawless.

 E.L.F Eyeshadow "C" and Angled Contouring Brush

I have no clue what to say about these. They're soft? yeah. I use the shadow brush for under my eyes by my water line. I could just use a small brush but this works really well. the contouring brush got me looking GUDDD. Both are pretty precise and good for getting small/detailed areas.

E.L.F. Essentials Beauty Book Eye Set

I'm gonna be totally honest, I only bought it for that purple shade and because I wanted the deal. The colors are not as pigmented as I had hoped or anticipated. It can be layered up to be really nice but in general, not so much. The primer at comes with it was just a nasty consistency imo so I gave it to a friend. the pencil is also not my favorite but it's a back up for when everything else fails.

E.L.F. Studio Eyebrow Treat & Tame

Ok, now this right here, is the bomb. because my brows aren't bleached it doesn't look as good as it could but the actually product works well. Earlier this summer i had shaved off the ends of my eyebrows and they seemed to not wanna go back. THE TREAT FIXED THAT QUICK! In maybe a week, week and a half  my eyebrows were back. it was crazy! The color is pretty well pigmented as well, I got ash and it definitely shows up. I'm so glad I got it but next time I will try a color closer to my actual eyebrow color.

E.L.F. Essential Lipstick

I stated in the unboxing video that i actually hated the shades I picked out. These were the deepest colors they had and when I got them I thought it would be fine but no. Neither of these colors look even remotely like this and looked horrible on my complexion. I believe I tried it with lip liners in darker colors but it still wasn't really working for me. I'm just not a big fan of their lip products...

Mini Sephora Gets
I forget what happened but I think Samantha and I were hanging out and we ended up in sephora and of course I had to buy something.

I needed new concealer so I got this one by Sephora and it's really good! It matches my skin exactly so I can use it on dark marks and pimples but I should have gotten a lighter color for my highlighting so i might need another :D

 These are also sephora products, and I'm in LOVE with the intensity of the color in these. the lip color is like a creamy lipstick and it's about the same intensity as Obsessive Compulsion Lip Tar. it's so good and it lasts a really long time even when I thin it out with lip gloss. The pencil it very good as well, I use it with a lip gloss and I'm set. I often don't even use a lipstick over it.

Overall I love what I got and I'm happy.

Recent Buys \(^O^)/ (late post!)

I have been buying TONS of new products lately even though I should have been saving up.

Anyway I got a 50$ gift card from my mom to Sephora so I spent it right away and got Kat Von D tattoo liner, a Sephora blush in Rose Glow, Sephora's Instant Moisture Cream and Obsessive Compulsive Matte Lip Tar in Matte Clockwork. I also got a bunch of sample too. I picked Dior eyelash primer, eau de Cartier perfume sample, and YSL Lip glosses. I used the YSL BB Creams on my friend in my previous post. It ended up being way too light for her and I used it as a concealer and it had pretty good coverage!

Here come a bunch of mini reviews...

~The YSL lip gloss is VERY sheer so it would be nice to put over a lip stain or matte lipstick. It's not as sticky as you think but a nice consistency overall. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it has a really weird smell. Kinda like old perfume? Yeah, that's about right.

 ~The Cartier is a really nice citrus smell. It reminds me of the lemony fresh scent of house cleaning ^_^ mmmmm. I love clean scents and savory summer smells. 

~I can't really review the YSL BB Cream considering I did not use it on myself xD

~The Dior lash primer stuff is actually really nice. It extends my lashes and makes them look really good even without lashes! Plus I'm going to use it on my eyebrows when I want to cover them for dansou or cosplay or to change the color.

~I got a sample of the Sephora instant moisture cream when I went for my consultation so I finally bought it. It comes in 2 sizes, a small tube or a large tub of it. 

~I thought it was a joke when I used Lip Tar. It is so bright it is ridiculous. I love it so much at this point I use it pretty frequently. When they say use a small dot they really mean it. I want to try the dark purple or black and maybe a neon color!

~The Kat Von D liner is really good! It doesn't smudge much after you let it settle. This is probably the best black eyeliner pencil I've used so far and I want to try out the liquid liner too. 

~The cream blush I got is a nice color on my skin tone because it is noticeable enough that it gives me a little life. my only problem with it is that I'm having a hard time applying it so I think i'll just have to find new methods of getting it on my face :3

I got these 2 deco nail art spinner, one is metal studs and stuff like that and the other is rhinestones in all shapes and sizes. I'm definitely going to make a tutorial on how I do my nail designs (for those rare times i do wear acrylics). I also got these faux leather gloves from eBay. No lie they were really badly made and are way too big for my baby hands but for like 2 dollars I didn't expect very much out of them.
