Thrift shop visit

I went to the thrift shop today for the first time in like months and I only bought cute red stuff. Weird, right?

First of is this rugby jersey I found with the adidas tag in tact! I wish I had found a soccer jersey since my brother and I are pretty into it now but that's okay. If I don't keep it I can totally sell it so it's great no matter what I do with it!😁

Next is this cute lady bug looking sweater. It could be a really cute accent for a Lolita coord  so it was worth it for 2.99$

New is my favorite find in a long time. My brother and I have been complaining about the strange disappearance of all out dishes and silverware so I got a cute Halloween pumpkin mug! It's gonna be my fave once I clean it.

And here's my OOTD

I hope you liked this little haul! I'll see you soon 💋

Geocoloeredlens.com Review

Hey sweeties, I almost never do reviews especially for lenses so I decided to switch it up a bit.
To my disappointment, change might not have been a good thing.
There were a lot of complications with my order.  I ordered black lenses along with 2 other lenses in a combo pack August 16th and it took until August 28th to tell me they were discontinued. They let pick a new lenses but those were out of stock and would take another 1-2 weeks for them to get the lenses. By then I was aggravated to all hell.(。-_-。) I pick yet another lens and my order confirmed on September 2th. I FINALLY got my package Sept 25th and I had some hope still left that these lenses would be nice.

All of the packaging looked nice standard and they gave me a cute little macaron case thingy (*^_^*) I got 3 lenses:

Geo Cherry Holic Green YH-303
Geo Luna Violet CM-721
Geo Starmish Brown XKP-304

At first I felt like these were a little too opaque but after trying them with some makeup and lashes, it reminded me of Seri-chan. Now, I kinda love them. I just wish in natural light it was a little less of a reddish brown.

I would use these if I do my Raven cosplay again because when I had originally done it I had lenses similar to these and I think one was defective because I couldn't put them in my eyes without some sort of pain and crying. It actually kinda happened to this one too idk how but I can still wear them. One is just a little blurry in the corner of my eye.  Of all of them I wanted this one to be more opaque and less natural 😒 but either way they aren't large enough and don't don't suit the purpose I bought them for. I'm giving it an average rating cause they are bearable and feel like regular lenses but aesthetically, it didn't blow me out of the water.

At first I really didn't like how reptile-y I looked in them but with makeup it's a bit nicer and a little spoopy 😈 I wanted a more natural look with these which again, I didn't get but it still looks good and still serves its purpose.

Selfies in each!

Making a Salopette: Tutorial

Hey guys, so I have been looking into some more sewing projects I could do to advance my style since it is hard shopping for cutesy things at the moment. In the next week or two there is going to be a lolita swap meet again and I haven't been to one since the end of last summer so I'm really excited. This is the moment I realized that I don't wear lolita for anything but conventions and special occasions which is sad but I don't have the wardrobe for it. The dresses I do have are for the winter so I wanted to make something for the summer like A SALOPETTE! lol so I started to sketch out my idea on my sketchbook.

I started off with this sketch and tried to figure out the measurements and how I wanted it to look on me and then got to making the patterns on some gift wrap. Once that was all done I made sure to go around and mark the seam allowance and where I wanted to cut my fabric on the fold.

After I cut out all of my pieces I placed it on my mannaquin so I could see how it would fit and it was a little too big so I took 3inchs off the straps and the back panel.

I decided that I wouldn't use the waist band I had draw in the picture. I started sewing the top first under the arm holes and the sides of the skirt. I actually played with the straps a bit since it was going to be plain straps but I used old belt parts to make the straps adjustable. Then I cut out the patterns and started sewing.

I attached the top to the bottom and then it was basically done! I made some bias tape out of the fabric that was leftover and went around the top portion because I didn't want to hem it.

Originally I wanted more ruffles but I realized that might mean having to unstitch the top and skirt to make the ruffles look better and start higher + it couldn't have pockets! So I chose to leave it as is

And it's done! I hope you enjoyed watching me make this cute pinnafore / salopette <3

♡Sewing: Pink Gingham Dress♡

Hey cuties! Lately as you know I have been trying to transition out of my mostly black closet and into a cuter more pastel oriented style. Because I'm so afraid of committing to it I have been making a lot of the clothes and gathering inspiration. I took another visit to fabric store close by (on a horrible day of my choosing because it down poured and hailed on me with no umbrella or protective gear) and I bought 4 yards of white stretch knit and 3 yards of pink gingham fabric.

These were the sketches I had for a dress that I could use for Lolita or Gyaru depending on how I dress it up.

So I decided to go with the alternative pleated skirt version. So I started getting some of the patterns done on my dress form in gift rap.

Next I started cutting out the patterned on my cotton lining and the pink print. I had 5 pieces for the bodice, pockets, the 3 piece skirt and the waistband. You can barely see the lines cause I do my patterns in eyeliner since I don't have chalk xD

Sorry that I didn't take pictures of me sewing each of the parts together but I sew the panels together and created the 2 bodices and attached them at the top. This is when I made sure it would fit the form/me and added the lace on the sweetheart neckline.

After this I started in the skirt which took a bit of time considering the pleats and some of them are still a bit wobbly. But I ironed it first and pinned each in place then made a stitch across the top and then sew the waistband on.

Now that I think about it I could have just made 2 seperate dresses and then done the embellishments. Lol well whatever, I made the lining dress and hemmed it which looks great and makes me wish I had a reversible zipper for this dress.

Anyway I placed the zipper in it and added a petticoat and a stitch in the waistband to keep the dresses together and it is finished! I might add detachable straps later on but I genuinely love how it looks as is without he "button up" look

Lastly, I added pockets! I might shorten it or at least make a fuller petticoat to go underneath. And that was it!
I will have more sewing stuff that I will be doing in the future. Comment and tell me if you like it or leave links to things you would love to see me recreate!
I hope you enjoyed the making of this dress! See you soon with some exciting news!

I'm a working girl(^∇^)

Hey guys so as of this week I have a job as a youtubes for a tech company based in Boston and various other cities. It's awesome cause now I get to practice filming on a better camera and editing with a better software than windows moviemaker (which is total trash)

It's weird working because for once I feel like I have to dress normal, even though they told me my blue hair is fine as long as no one complains about it. Most of the time I'm just doing research but it's good.

Welp. I'm just gonna have to get used to it + I might try to take a second job at the Primark that is opening downtown!

Anyway looks like I'm loving stripes this week 😂

THANKS FOR READING! See you soon
